  • CHAREIDIO: Signing off for Shabbos. Wishing everyone a Shabbat Shalom.
  • ZVI TUSK: look at www.chinuch.org for gedolim yahrzeits
  • CHAREIDIO: Indeed, thanks for the resource!
  • KADISH: If a program designed to bring American Jews to Israel for a year -- why, when the program is sponsered by an Orthodox organization, is it titled "Binyan Olam Fellowip program" -but if Reform sponsored, is it "pseudo aliya"?
  • CHAREIDIO: I don't recall reporting on the 'Binyan Olam' program so I'm not sure how I would have described it, but your point is a fair one.
  • CHAREIDIO: Kadish, I changed it to 'temporary' aliya track.
  • CHAREIDIO: Next update for breaking news will be at about 9:30PM Jerusalem time.
  • RUTIMIZRACHI: Welcome back! You were missed.
  • CHAREIDIO: Thanks!
  • CHAREIDIO: Next update for breaking news will be tonight, probably at about 9PM Jerusalem time.

  • CHAREIDIO: We got posted in some places today, so welcome if you're new! We're still in beta, so please don't mind the mess over there in the weather section, and pay no attention to the exchange rates. Enjoy.
  • CHAREIDIO: Update: Exchange rates and Weather forecast modules are now live!
  • CHAREIDIO: RSS Feed is up 100 percent!
  • CHAREIDIO: Chareidio Global News BETA will resume after Yom Kippor. Wishing all a g'mar chasima tova!
  • ELCHANAN: love the site! but the most recent talk-back comments are not shown without scrolling - so i always see the same 1st one every time. is that by design - or a beta-issue?
  • CHAREIDIO: You're right, it's getting changed in the next Talk-Back upgrade.
  • DIDI SR.: How about offering comments or talkback directly below individual stories?
  • CHAREIDIO: Moving the Talk-Back box would mean moving Sciences away from the vicinity of the main body of news, which I'd be reluctant to do, though I could just put another comment submission box up there...
  • GARDIO: How long has this site been running
  • DIDI SR: I was thinking more of a traditional "comments" link, like blogs have?
  • CHAREIDIO: I don't really like the whole 'Comment-board' scene, and would find it hard to moderate, but having one central board I like because it opens up easy communication between the Chareidio news editors and those who visit the site.
  • MORDECHAI: Pleased to have additional resources for us.
  • NETTIE: I want to contact you and clicked on the contact button, but it leads to FAQ, without content info.
  • CHAREIDIO: I'll check out the problem and will be in touch with you by email. Thanks!
  • DOVID: Gut Shabbos
  • CINA: I am trying to contact you and it still goes to the FAQ page. How can I email you? Thanks
  • CHAREIDIO: I am setting up a contact form but right now there were more pressing development needs so it got delayed.
  • REBECCA SEIFF: I am looking for a phone number I heard of to invite bomb victims to my home for Shabbat.
  • CHAREIDIO: Sorry, I don't know of such a phone number.
  • SARAH: Hi: Came to the site to find the dollar/shekel exchange (which I did find; thank you), and see some changes that I'm enjoying!
  • CHAREIDIO: Thanks!
  • CHAREIDIO: This module is going to be removed for something better. You can still use it to contact me for now.
  • JAMES: Hi, just found your site. Looks like it is developing really well. Mozel Tov!
  • ARNOLD: the talkback really should scroll up so that i see the most recent comments first. I always see ZVI TUSK'S comment first... and im tired of it!
  • CHAREIDIO: I know it's a problem, but since I'm planning to drop this comments module altogether, I don't want to put more time into it.
  • CHAREIDIO: Cartoon is offline until after Pesach. Major thrust now is in the new Breaking-News module followed by comprehensive Jewish news service and true-weekly updates of our feature articles.
  • SIMCHA: why does the news jump to the financial page automatically and then I can't get back to the news -- this always happens to me - is it the program or my browser settings. thank you
  • AL: I cannot listen to the Audio, the arcive audio link is broken. When I listened to the news the other day I was pleased with the coverage. Keep up the good work.
  • FRED: What an outstanding website! I might be your number one fan. you have a great knack for choosing interesting news stories and adding personality to the site. its nice to have a news site like this that's to the point, "out of the box" ie unique and fru
  • CHAREIDIO: There's an issue with certain browsers which we're trying to fix. Hopefully in the next upgrade.
  • YH: In glancing at your website for the first time, I am noticing that you repeatedly write "it's" with an apostrophe when it should be "its". See your mission page for two examples. See the "Quoted" about cholera, and other places. It's odd that when I cl
  • MF: Just found this site. It's great! And I love the fact that there is no comment section underneath each news item. It cuts out the loshon hara and nastiness which is common on other sites. Just a not, the link to Hamerkaz.com at the botom of the page d
